TRIGGER FOODS are PERSONAL based on your experience and are those foods that you can't stop eating such as chips, cookies, cakes, and pastries. My personal trigger food was pizza. When my children were small, we would order a pizza after sports. They would eat one piece, and I would finish the whole pizza. Trigger foods are eaten in response to stress, anxiety or depression. Sweets and ice cream are typical for women, while men typically like savory snacks like pizza and red meat. Soft drinks like colas can also be a trigger and often fools people who don't know they can gain weight by drinking. Here is how it works. Stress or anxiety will stimulate an area of your brain which makes you want your trigger food. To break the cycle of stress and mood-driven eating, write down the factors that made you want to overeat. Were you hungry, tired, stressed, angry, or depressed? For next time, be aware and plan an alternative like exercise or eating a healthy fruit, vegetable, or a few healthy nuts like almonds. #drdavidheber #trigger foods #junkfood #diet #hunger #craving to learn more go to www.drdavidheber.com and www.herbalifenutritioninstitute.com
