CHAMOMILE is made from daisy flowers. It has been used as a calming herbs and for medicinal purposes for hundreds of years. The flowers are dried and the pollen and other plant parts are most commonly infused with hot water to make a tea. The two most common species are German Chamomile and English or Roman Chamomile. The two major Phytonutrients are apigenin also found in parsley and alpha-bisabolol. It has many other Phytonutrients including flavonoids and luteolin. It is mainly used to relax the stomach and has been shown to reduce pepsin (the protein digesting enzyme) secreted from the stomach without affecting stomach acid.
