Remember: Thoughts and emotions can drive or stop a behavior. If you are having dinner with friends and the desert choices on the menu are chocolate cake or berries, your thinking brain can drive you to choose berries while your emotions may want you to have the cake. Just thinking about the choice is the first step in STIMULUS CONTROL. We make 200 unconscious food choices every day so thinking can help you make the right decision. You can delay your choice until the emotions fade as one strategy. Using information from your food and activity record, you can plan ahead to schedule your activities to avoid temptation. I am sure, you can think of lots of examples where you and those you coach can use this key personalized principle of behavior change to promote Balanced Nutrition and a Healthy Active Lifestyle!! #drdavidheber #behavior #control #psychology #cravings #sugar #cake #berries to learn more go to www.drdavidheber.com and www.herbalifenutritioninstitute.com A post shared by Dr. David Heber (@drdavidheber) on Jul 30, 2017 at 7:18am PDT Share this:TwitterFacebookLike this:Like Loading...‹ Behavior Change #3: SELF-MONITORING creates awareness which is the first step in Behavior Change.CABLE SQUAT AND REVERSE SHOULDER CHEST PULL: These two exercises can be done with free weights or cable machine. ›Categories: Nutrition
