They are both based on religious traditions including Hinduism and Buddhism but prayers of many religions include meditation. In Hindu tradition there are 7 Chakras in your mind and body from intuition at the crown to a third eye which we know as the pineal gland down to to the brain connections to all your organs and digestive system which can be relaxed through meditation. The physiology here is that when you reduce stress by sitting with your eyes closed repeating a simple phrase called a mantra over and over again, your inner organs relax and function normally. Yoga joins the mind and body and modern yoga is a low impact form of exercise where you assume different positions and hold them keeping your muscles engaged. Be sure to get proper instruction and stretch before attempting these positions. Adopting these habits can help you reduce stress so you can concentrate on Balanced Nutrition and Healthy Active Lifestyle every day!! #drdavidheber #yoga #meditation #stress #behavior #mantra to learn more go to www.drdavidheber.com and www.herbalifenutritioninstitute.com A post shared by Dr. David Heber (@drdavidheber) on Aug 3, 2017 at 6:43am PDT Share this:TwitterFacebookLike this:Like Loading...‹ Behavior Change #7: ONLINE COMMUNITIES can help you reach more people with your message.Behavior Change #9: ACTIVE LISTENING will help you connect with those you are coaching. ›Categories: Nutrition
