NUTRITION WHY’S #19: BURN FAT WITH EXERCISE- Would you like to know how to burn the most fat during exercise? During light to moderate exercise 91% of the energy you burn comes from fat. With maximum exercise such as lifting very heavy weights you burn mostly carbohydrates, but at 65% of maximum oxygen consumption you burn the most fat. As you burn more fat the amount of oxygen consumed by the body relative to carbon dioxide released in the breath goes down a little and this change can be measured in the air you breathe out of your lungs during an exercise test. You don’t have to do that to get your personal maximum fat-burning heart rate (HR) which estimates oxygen consumption. Subtract your age from 220. That is your maximum HR. Now multiply that HR by 0.7 and you will have the best HR for burning fat 🔥🔥. This is an average for your workout. With High Intensity Interval Training you get that average with short bursts of high intensity HR lasting only 20 seconds followed by moderate exercise for 20 seconds repeated 4 to 6 times and then you go on to your resistance exercises. The average heart rate for your session will burn fat and I prefer this to 30 minutes straight on a treadmill at one steady HR. The goal is to burn fat and increase muscle over time to burn more calories. So remember to have your Protein-Rich Shake within 30 minutes to one hour after your workout. You burn fat at any meal where you use a meal replacement to cut calories, but you burn fat most efficiently with exercise. Your personal transformation begins as you burn off the extra fat stored in your body and become a lean machine!!!#drdavidheber #burnfat #fat #carbs #protein #exercise to learn more go to www.drdavidheber.com and www.herbalifenutritioninstitute.com
