No one is perfect all the time. When you get off your program that is called a lapse. We all have lapses, but a string of lapses is called a relapse. A series of relapses can lead to collapse which is giving up altogether. The key to stopping collapse is relapse prevention. You have had a lapse, but now you can look at what led to that lapse and try to have an alternative that you can substitute. For example, you overeat at a business lunch. Have a Protein-Rich Shake before you go to lunch next time and then have a salad with dressing on the side at lunch with water or iced tea during your conversation. You won’t be hungry or tempted to binge. Remember every lapse has a cause or thought beforehand.
