WEIGHT MANAGEMENT BASICS #24: 8 STEPS TO SUCCESS – To start and maintain an Exercise Plan that will help you achieve and maintain your best personal shape, you need more than motivation- you need a strategy. In this series of posts, I will discuss 8 separate simple steps to take to get on the right track with exercise. First you need a daily plan. Which days and times will you exercise? Mornings are best for most people because you have more energy – so rise and shine!! Some days you may need to exercise in the afternoon but avoid right before sleep. Second, get workout clothes that are comfortable and make you look great. Third, put on your earbuds and get your fitness playlist of Exercise Music ready on your smartphone or iPod. Fourth, warm-up for 5 to 10 minutes on a treadmill, bike, or elliptical. Fifth, stretch and use a foam roller to get your muscles ready for a 30 to 45 minute workout including high intensity interval training and resistance training. Sixth, have your Sports Drink whenever you are thirsty.
