COACHING #3: 2. GATHER INFORMATION- The second step in Coaching is to Gather Information. I will use weight management or trying to lose weight as an example: 1) Previous Experiences – what weight loss diets were tried and what worked or didn’t work? ;2) What are the Goals and Objectives in terms of looking better, fitting into clothes, or just getting healthy 3) Assess Readiness to Change. On a scale of 1 to 10, how ready is the client to change today- have they planned to do this someday, today, or are they just thinking about it? ;4) Confidence in the Method used to lose weight. Here you can both gather information and share your knowledge about Protein-Rich Shakes, Balanced Nutrition and Healthy Active Lifestyle. Set a weekly goal for weight loss based on the diet plan and a weekly evaluation of self-monitoring including a food and activity record in person sometimes and by e-mail regularly to enable feedback and encouragement.
