COACHING #7: 6. REVIEW RESULTS- Now that you have Implemented Personalized Plans, it is time to Review the Records of your client. Accountability is important and Self-Monitoring weight, activities, and emotions both provides the record of behaviors and at the same time changes those behaviors of Balanced Nutrition and Healthy Active Lifestyle. Review the client’s records in Four Steps: 1) Match the weight loss results with expectations. If there is 1 pound (0.5 kg) per week of weight loss stress that this amounts to 4 pounds (about 2 kg) per month so that they will reach their goal by sticking with the program for 4 to 6 months in most cases (divide weight loss goal by weight loss per month to get the number of months needed to reach the goal);2) Pay attention to comments and notes on emotions; 3) Discuss challenges and setbacks to progress; and 4)Develop Personalized strategies to overcome these challenges that are common sense such as adding exercise, working on eliminating trigger foods, or increasing social support. Timing of Protein-Rich Shakes in the morning and late afternoon are common places to improve habits.
