FAT FACTS #9: FAT SCULPTING AND SURGERY-I am posting this information about Fat Sculpting and Surgery but I am NOT RECOMMENDING these procedures. They are purely cosmetic and you may regret doing these if you regain your weight. These procedures are usually done to remove pockets of lower body fat on the lower abdomen, the hips and thighs in women and chest fat or love handles in men. There is no medical benefit as the body adjusts its metabolism, so these procedures are purely cosmetic. Liposuction is done under anesthesia with a metal tube that sucks out and destroys fat cells. The fat cells can also be destroyed by ultrasound, infrared heating or freezing them. Freezing cells is the most popular now. All of these methods can lead to terrible results if you regain the weight you lost before the procedure. I have seen women regain pockets of fat in the back and on their thigh after stomach liposuction as well as cellulite on the the thighs returning after these procedures. If you are considering any of these procedures, be sure you have excellent control of your eating and exercise habits first. For most everyone, these procedures are not necessary. As you have seen in this series, Protein-Rich Shakes, tea with natural caffeine, and a Healthy Active Lifestyle that includes High Intensity Interval Training will help you achieve a healthy body fat percentage that is personal to you and your best personal shape! Love your shape and don’t sweat the small stuff!! I am starting a new series on Happiness tomorrow-so stay tuned!! #drdavidheber #fat #liposuction #weightlossjourney to learn more go to www.drdavidheber.com and www.herbalifenutritioninstitute.com and read PERSONALIZED NUTRITION AND TRANSFORMATION available on Amazon.com for $5.49
