Sugar that you eat raises blood sugar and stimulates the pancreas to release insulin. Insulin stimulates the same reward center that is activated in alcohol or drug addiction. Insulin then lowers blood sugar which can lead to fatigue and a craving for more sugary foods. To get out of this cycle have a Protein-Rich Shake for breakfast along with fruits and vegetables and eat low sugar foods through the day. Every time you have a sugary food, you will stimulate both insulin and Dopamine leading to cravings for sweets which is why eating low sugar foods is so important! Next time – how do you know if you are addicted to sugary foods like soft drinks, cakes, cookies, and pastries – So stay tuned!! #drdavidheber #sugar#addiction to learn more go to www.drdavidheber.com and www.herbalifenutritioninstitute.com and read PERSONALIZED NUTRITION AND TRANSFORMATION available on Amazon.com for $5.49 A post shared by Dr. David Heber (@drdavidheber) on May 10, 2018 at 1:01am PDT Share this:TwitterFacebookLike this:Like Loading...‹ SUGAR #5: SUGAR AND THE BRAINCategories: Nutrition
